People either hate this place or love it. I'm rather on the nasty side. Felt fake and overpriced. The city is either a business hub, an antiquated upscale women's neighborhood, or a recession zone. Don't get me started on human rights here. I would visit it as a tourist for a week or two, but I certainly wouldn't stay here for longer.

turkey

One of the best cities in Europe. Although the location is completely different in Istanbul. Besikatas, nisantasi and karakoy are my favorite parts. They are safe, have a great atmosphere and are full of energy. Big city but not very busy. I met many friendly Turkish people there and had great conversations. The food is good and relatively cheap. Outside of the good areas, you will find many scams and people trying to get you every day. While it's not violence, you can always leave.

A walking stereotype. Crowded, chaotic and expensive. Literally nothing works. There are more Americans than in Lisbon, which I don't think is possible. Yes, Italians are great and so is the food.

I stayed here for two weeks after almost a year and a half in Latin America. Beautiful city; great food options - especially for Asian food lovers. There are many authentic Thai, Vietnamese and Chinese dishes for around 50% of the prices in western cities. Decent hotels cost $11-15 on weekdays and $18-30 on weekends. Beautiful architecture and people, but it's true that Hungary can be very cold at times. Overall a good stay, just a quick and cheap flight/train to multiple destinations

There's no reason to live in this city. I spent a year here. Compared to Central and Eastern Europe, the weather here is not the best. Maybe when it's -4 degrees in Budapest, it's +1 degrees in Barcelona. It would be just as cold. Insulation, air conditioning and heating in the apartment are almost non-existent. If you have heat in your apartment and use it about 3 hours a day, it will cost you $100 a month. When it comes to apartments, the prices are cosmic. $1,500 + utilities for a 2 bedroom in a community

I lived in Prague for 8 years. It is a beautiful international European city. I haven't studied Czech, but it's OK. Almost all cafes and restaurants have an English menu. Excellent food delivery apps (Wolt is the best). All the food you can imagine. Due to Vietnam's large population, Vietnamese cuisine is world class. If you're looking for trendy bars and cafes, there are plenty of them. If you want old world charm, there is plenty here. If luxury is your thing, here are some of the best restaurants and cocktails in Europe

I have wandered around Berlin on and off for 30 years. Very safe for women. He's much friendlier than before. Now there are many vegetarian restaurants. The nightlife, especially the jazz clubs, is great! I have a great apartment for rent in the wedding grounds - it used to be considered boring, and now it's pretty cool.

Lisbon has a certain charm, but it is submerged under the supertourist garbage that has consumed much of the city. The apartments in particular are ridiculously overpriced compared to lesser standard spaces - no lifts, no heating, no air conditioning, too much mold, leaky roof and windows, no owners present, no soundproofed buildings. This is the norm, especially when it comes to short- or medium-term housing. Also, be prepared to change prices depending on your appearance. Literally more valuable than any major city in Europe

France

The city is amazing. Now I understand why Parisians look down on other cities. It's infinite. Museums, history, cool bars, amazing food, variety, beautiful people who dress nicely... speaking French helps a lot. It is expensive. I'd love to be a nomad here for a month or two. I really like this area of the Marais.
Brussels
Belgium

Super expensive city with some nice tourist attractions. It is not recommended to stay here for a long time as the price level is almost Parisian. Moreover, you can easily visit all the good attractions in about three days. Pros: - nice tourist spots (quite a lot) - many food options - people are open minded and friendly Cons: - very expensive - limited vegetarian options - you should know at least a little Dutch or French to survive hereMore

The best city. Everything is going well, beautiful greenery (huh), bicycles everywhere, happy people, great nightlife… there is so much to love. For nomads? No chance. Housing prices are ridiculously high and cities are expensive. They charge 4.5-5 euros for a cappuccino which is totally shameless. An hour by public transport costs 3 euros. I can go and go. I would love to live there, but it's not worth it.

I've only been here a week, so I can't give too much of an opinion. Unfortunately, BKK was not for me and I found out about it quite quickly. I prefer to work in coffee shops during trading hours on the American Stock Exchange. I found out that almost every decent coffee shop in Bangkok closes at 6 or 8 at the latest. Yes, there are some coworking spaces, but most don't allow you to drop by after 6pm. The traffic is big and stressful. Traffic jams on random streets at noon are common and the same applies to cities.

I have lived in New York - Brooklyn - for over 20 years. For visiting tourists, the best place to stay is not Bushwick. Slope Park, Prospect Heights, Ft. Green or Brooklyn Heights are the most popular. In these areas there are plenty of means of transport - metro, bus or Uber. Easy access to beaches on Long Island and New Jersey. There are plenty of things to do in New York. Great restaurants, shows on Broadway (!), and in the summer you can often catch free concerts.

How did SF rank 98th on the Nomad Scale? I agree with most of the opinions posted here. I usually work from home, but recently we rented a small conference room for a meeting. $250 per hour... (yes per hour... no typos here).
